We may not have the horse and shining armour, but Nissan's European Roadside Assistance is the next best thing to come to your rescue.
All new Nissan cars come with three years' cover*** – with the LCV range benefitting from five years. Our Roadside Assistance keeps you on the road with minimum fuss, covering eventualities such as a flat battery or engine failure.
In addition, you'll gain one of our Customer Promises every time you service your car at your local Nissan dealership. This means you can continue to enjoy one year's Nissan Roadside Assistance (even after your initial three years) completely free of charge.
WHAT YOUR VEHICLE COVER INCLUDES
Your Nissan will be covered regardless of who is driving, as long as they have your permission to use the vehicle and an appropriate driving licence.
Your vehicle cover includes:
ROADSIDE REPAIR
Almost 80% of all motoring problems can be resolved at the roadside by our assistance patrol.
TOWING SERVICE
If the problem can't be solved at the roadside, or if your vehicle is immobilised in an accident, it would be recovered and towed to your nearest home* dealer (if within 60 miles) or the nearest Nissan dealer for repair.
Please be advised that some services provided in Europe differ from those in the United Kingdom.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
If your vehicle breaks down, either as a result of mechanical or self-induced breakdown or accident, and cannot be fixed at the roadside or within 4 hours at the dealer, Nissan European Roadside Assistance also includes these additional services for problems covered by the Nissan warranty:
REPLACEMENT VEHICLE
A replacement vehicle can be provided for a maximum of three working days or until your repair is completed, whichever is sooner.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
If the breakdown occurred more than 62 miles from home we can offer you B&B accommodation in a three star hotel (or equivalent) for 3 nights if required whilst your vehicle is being repaired.
JOURNEY CONTINUATION
You and your passengers could choose to continue your journey via public transport, with the following options (a) Taxi up to 62 miles (b) Train or Ship, 1st class (c) Plane (economy class) if train journey is longer than 8 hours. The driver would also be covered for the journey to return and collect the vehicle.
REPATRIATION
If the breakdown occurred aboard or more than 310 miles from home in the same country and if your vehicle cannot be repaired within 3 working days after arriving at the Nissan dealership, Nissan Assistance will repatriate the vehicle, driver, passengers and luggage to your home dealer*

*Home dealer refers to the dealership where you purchased your vehicle and/or have your vehicle serviced.
**A working day is defined as Monday – Friday inclusive, excluding bank holidays.
A free of charge fuel drain service is not available under this policy and is chargeable by the Dealer or recovery provider.

Accidents happen, and when they do you can rest assured that Nissan’s EV Roadside Assistance will get you back on the road in no time.
All Nissan Electric Vehicles sold and distributed in EV countries are covered by Nissan EV Pan-European Roadside Assistance. This is provided for the duration of your vehicle’s basic warranty period – i.e. three years except E-NV200 which benefits for five years.
You’ll also benefit from one of our You+Nissan CARE pledges every time you service your car at your local Nissan dealership. This means you can continue to enjoy one year Nissan EV Roadside Assistance, which also covers you in Europe, completely free of charge.
NISSAN EV PAN-EUROPEAN ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France (excluding DOM TOM ), Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain (excluding Ceuta and Melilla), Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (excluding Guernsey and Jersey).*
WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED EV ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Our Electric Vehicles are designed for maximum reliability, but it’s good to know that you have complimentary Nissan EV Pan-European Roadside Assistance to give you the extra peace of mind.
WHAT YOUR COVER INCLUDES
Whatever happens, Nissan EV Pan-European Roadside Assistance services will help you stay mobile with minimum inconvenience. And your Electric Vehicle will be covered regardless of who is driving – just as long as they have your permission and a valid driving licence.
ROADSIDE REPAIR
If your Nissan EV becomes stranded following an unexpected mechanical or electrical breakdown, our assistance patrol will be sent to your location. Following the incident if the vehicle can be repaired on the spot, the breakdown service and repair costs will be covered for both warranty and non-warranty incidents.
TOWING SERVICE
If it is not possible to solve the problem at the roadside or your vehicle is immobilised in an accident, it would be recovered and towed to your nearest home* dealer (if within 30 miles) or the nearest Nissan dealer for repair.
EV BATTERY OUT OF CHARGE
Whatever happens, Nissan EV Pan-European Roadside Assistance services will help you stay mobile with minimum inconvenience. And your Electric Vehicle will be covered regardless of who is driving – just as long as they have your permission and a valid driving licence.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
If your vehicle is immobilised or unavailable due to a mechanical or self-induced breakdown or an accident, the driver and the passengers are entitled to one of the following additional benefits if the Electric Vehicle cannot be repaired on the same day:
CONTINUATION OF THE TRIP OR RETURN HOME:
Should you choose to continue your journey, we’ll arrange the onward travel for a limited distance between the point of departure and the point where the breakdown occurred; or the return to the driver’s home address. The options available are:
- Train, 1st class
- Taxi up to 30 miles
- Any other suitable means
REPLACEMENT VEHICLE
We’ll supply you, the driver, with a replacement car (non EV) for a maximum of three working days or until the repair is completed, whichever is sooner. Charging and toll fees are at the user’s expense and the replacement car excludes all other additional services. Drivers of special vehicles such as taxis, driving-school vehicles, short-term rental vehicles, etc. are not eligible for this service.
COLLECTION OF REPAIRED VEHICLES
We’ll also arrange for a single person selected by the owner of the Nissan EV to collect the vehicle, to be transported to the repair centre, with the same conditions as those applicable to the continuation of the journey.
Terms and conditions
(i) *For countries not listed above the Towing warranty applies – should your vehicle become inoperative due to a warrantable or non-warrantable defect in a country not covered by the Nissan.
(ii) During the warranty period, the number of Roadside Assistance services resulting from no or low EV battery charge depends on a fair usage of the vehicle. Fair Usage Clause:
• In the case of repeated non-starts with plausible causes Roadside Assistance service will be provided.
• In the case of non-starts (by same driver) without plausible causes no Roadside Assistance will be provided.
• Nissan Assistance will be able to make a fair judgment based on best practice experience.
